Our cheese has won numerous awards over the years including Supreme Champion at the 1996/7 British Cheese Awards and Best British Cheese at the World Cheese awards in 2001/2. On top of these, there have been several Gold Medals at the British Cheese Awards, including 2003/4 for both Lincolnshire Poacher and Smoked Lincolnshire Poacher.In October 2006, we were awarded Best Export Cheese at the British Cheese Awards held in Cheltenham. We were up against 110 other very good cheeses which was whittled down to a group of 6 outstanding finalists and we were judged to be the best. Very exciting news for all of us and particularly for our head cheesemaker, Richard Tagg, who deserves a lot of the credit. When it was announced, Richard went up and collected the award and he gave a very impassioned speech right from the heart. Congratulations to him and all our staff who work so hard to make the business and the cheese what it is.

More recently at the 2009/10 awards held in Cardiff we were awarded Best Modern British Cheese (against over 100 cheeses) for the Lincolnshire Poacher and Best Flavour Added Cheese for the Smoked Poacher. This is the first time we have been awarded best in category twice in the same year!!
